The Professional Fighters League (PFL) and 10TX announces that the first-ever PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions Pay Per View live from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been awarded the Broadcast Pro ME (Middle East) award for Best Linear Distribution.
Emanating live from Saudi Arabia, an emerging hotspot for global sporting events, PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions was an unprecedented fight card that featured World Champions and the biggest names in combat sports going head to head in the PFL SmartCage. The event took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on February 24th and aired on ESPN+ PPV and DAZN.
The Broadcast Pro ME award recognized the success of PFL MENA and 10TX, its linear distribution partnership, in reaching new global audiences with this event by leveraging innovative signal delivery. 10TX provided essential pre-production and distribution design services along with onsite support to globally distribute the monumental event, using multiple modes of delivery including fiber, satellite, and IP routings.
“The PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions Pay Per View was unique in that the entire event was created in temporary facilities that were purpose-built and then dismantled following the live event,” says Keith Valeri, CEO, 10TX. “That’s a great fit for 10TX, as we provide a custom, multi-approach transmission workflow for each event by determining the needs, evaluating existing resources, and incorporating any required ancillary equipment. With that approach, we are able to exceed expectations and ensure signals are delivered and protected via redundancy, regardless of the event’s environment.”
The first mega MMA event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions also kicked off another PFL milestone: the announcement of PFL’s second international league, PFL MENA, which debuted in April 2024. 10TX is providing signal delivery for all of PFL’s events worldwide.
